Cloudflare Introduces AI Monitoring for Employee ChatGPT Usage

Cloudflare One has unveiled new features allowing employers to monitor and control employee interactions with generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. The platform now offers real-time prompt visibility, Shadow AI reporting, and sensitive content blocking—addressing corporate fears of data leaks through AI chatbots.

The update transforms Cloudflare's enterprise security dashboard into an AI oversight hub, enabling IT teams to track prompts, uploaded data, and tool configurations. "Admins can now answer questions like: What are our employees doing in ChatGPT? What data is being uploaded and used in Claude?" the company stated.

With 75% of employees reportedly using ChatGPT, the MOVE reflects growing corporate tension between AI productivity gains and security risks. The solution targets accidental exposure of financials, proprietary code, or other sensitive materials that could drift into cloud-based AI models.
